Children's Sunday School

sunday schoolPlease join us for Sunday School!

Sunday school is the primary tool we use for Christian education for our children. The professionally-designed curriculum covers the same topics across all ages and grades each week (though occasionally teachers will decide to approach a different topic.)  Bible readings, songs, crafts, and other activities are all part of the learning experience. During the summer months, we often combine classes between close age groups while some children and class leaders are on vacation.

When children reach confrmation age (usually when they start middle school or later), they can join a confirmation class that meets during the same period. Confirmation classes explore church history and doctrine, and involve retreats and field trips.

Sunday School classes are offered at 9:45 a.m. on Sunday. If you arrive at 9:30, you can drop-off your children in room C52 for a pre-class meeting and singing called "The Gathering." We ask first-time visitors to sign-in with the classroom teachers to ensure that children don't lose their parents! Parents are welcome to attend Sunday school with their children, and adult volunteers are always welcome (we have training available for adult volunteers each summer.) We also perform background checks on those who volunteer to work with children, so we can keep a safe environment for our children.

At 11:00 a.m., children from 3 years to 2nd grade can leave for “Godly Play” after the Children's Moment in the church service. We ask first-time visitors to sign-in with their parents before the service.
