Lisa Day serves St. Stephens as the Director of Christian Formation. She resides in Manassas Park with her husband Robert and two lovely, teen-aged daughters Jennifer & April, plus several family pets. Lisa enjoys reading, gardening, photography, and cooking. Lisa received her Master of Religious Education from Southern Methodist University’s Perkins School of Theology and a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Education, Religion & Philosophy from Huntingdon College in Montgomery, AL. She has been actively serving in ministry across the life span for over 20 years. Lisa enjoys teaching Bible and all sorts of creative small group studies. She is a trained and experienced leader for Disciple Studies, Christian Believer, Companions in Christ, Jesus in the Gospels, and Beginnings.
Lisa says, "For me, the purpose of ministry is to follow the great command of Jesus our Savior, to `go and make disciples,' and to nurture within people the desire to grow in the knowledge and love of God, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Christian Formation is concerned with developing a vibrant, active, and mature faith that unceasingly reaches up to God and out to people with faith, hope, and love."
