Valerie Glaze hails from Eaton, Ohio. She moved to the Burke area from Germany where her husband, Lieutenant Colonel George Glaze (U.S. Army) was stationed. Together the Glaze's are raising two children: Joshua, a senior at Lake Braddock High School, and Amanda, a freshman.

Valerie enjoys receiving people at St. Stephen's and sharing in the countless tasks that keep St. Stephen's going. "Great people make this a great job," remarked Valerie. When she's not at the reception desk, Valerie enjoys crafting and sewing. While she doesn't consider herself creative, she will admit to being able to copy the craft ideas of others.

Valerie was brought to St. Stephen's through the Boy Scout troop sponsored by the church. From there, the family began to participate in other activities of the church.
