Does Your Ministry Event Need Child Care?
St. Stephen’s UMC loves children and families! In fact, we take our cue from Jesus who said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” (Matthew 19:14) This means that we try to provide childcare for families with children whenever reasonably possible for ministry events so they can participate. This also means, however, that we need time to coordinate our team and prepare a schedule as many of our child care providers work full time and have family responsibilities of their own.
So, going forward, we are implementing a process for requesting childcare that we believe is fair, efficient, and timely. If your ministry group would like child care provided at your next ministry event, please pick up a CHILD CARE FORM from the front office and then return the completed form to Pastor Abi’s staff mailbox (also in the front office) by the 15th of the month. Bibi Singh, our Child Care Coordinator, will then work on the schedule and post it outside the Nursery by the 25th of the month. She will also confirm with the contact person for each event whether or not the church is able to provide child care at that time so that in the event we are not able to provide child care, there is still time to make alternative arrangements. We appreciate your cooperation in advance and look forward to providing child care for your next event!
