Battery Recycling

With about 3 billion batteries dumped each year in the US, the lead, cadmium, mercury, and other heavy metals in household batteries can really pollute God’s creation. More cadmium in landfills comes from batteries than any other source. The solution:  buy rechargeable batteries!   Rechargeable batteries (e.g. nickel-cadmium and lithium-ion) can be recharged hundreds of times.  Call 1-800-8-BATTERY to find out where you can drop rechargeable batteries off for recycling.
