Holiday Lighting

There are a number of holidays but especially Christmas where we put up lights.  Try going with LED lights—they burn bright, last longer and use less energy than traditional incandescent lights.  For instance, 100 5-watt LED holiday lights burning 10 hours a day for a month will cost about .15 in 2009 calculations while 100 5-watt holiday incandescent bulbs will cost $14.88 (and won’t last as long).  To see how much energy you’ll save going with LED lights during the holidays, click here.
