Mulching for Fertilizer
Get a greener lawn without buying fertilizer and be friendly to the environment. When you cut your grass, just use the “mulch” setting and let the cut grass go back on the lawn. If the cut grass is too tall, then spread it out on your driveway on a sunny day for a couple of hours (so it dries out). The cut grass makes a superb natural fertilizer for your lawn (saving you money by avoiding chemical treatments), prevents chemical fertilizer runoff into streams, and it reduces the yard waste that goes into landfills.
