Recycling in the Great Outdoors
The next time you go out for a walk in the park or on a local trail, bring a bag. Make it a point to pick up a few cans or bottles as you walk along the park. You’re not only doing a good deed but you’re setting a highly visible example to others on the trail and encouraging them to do the same. Plus, bending over a few times to pick up the can or bottle you see is a nice stretching activity from your aerobic work. And remember—most of these bottles and cans end up being washing into creeks and streams which then ultimately end up in the Chesapeake Bay.
