Choral Reading, Reader’s Theatre, and Lector Training
Director: Martha Newman
Rehearsal Time: Monday from 6:30-7:30PM
Location: Room M18
Each Monday night this lively group of orators meets to work on a variety of pieces ranging from scripture and poetry to dramas and more complicated theatre. Members of the group practice reading through weekly scripture lessons and assist each other in perfecting skills necessary for making Biblical texts come alive. Throughout the year, this group also works on larger projects, such as a Service of Lessons and Carols for Christmas, larger plays and dramas, and humorous skits. (No memorization is required for this group!)
This ensemble is newly formed and is looking forward to more growth and creativity in the upcoming months! Please stop by and experience choral reading on a Monday night or contact Martha Newman for more information!
