Peer Mentoring Confirmation Retreat for Sr. High Students |

Join in this super fun and faith-building retreat as a Mentor for your peers who have not yet been confirmed, or come to this retreat to be confirmed! The Confirmation Retreat is designed for students who are in 9th through 12th grades. Our Confirmation Retreat will be November 5th-7th. During the retreat, you will learn about the meaning of Christian faith, the history and teachings of the United Methodist Church, and explore the baptismal and membership vows. But, we need at least eight (8) students to participate in this retreat, so please call the church office at 703-978-8724, x. 106 to indicate whether you plan to participate. Children's Fellowship Groups |

Be part of transforming a child’s life! St. Stephen's UMC is excited to offer a new opportunity for Children's Ministry! This fall, there will be 2 new Children's Fellowship Groups that will meet twice per month on the 1st and 3rd Sundays, from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. during the school year. One group will be for children who are in 1st thru 3rd grades, the other group will be for children who are in 4th thru 6th grades. Children's Fellowships are open to all children. Their time together will include a light snack, fun and active indoor games that focus on building fellowship, a short lesson/devotion or a guest speaker, and every other month a mission/service project. In order to provide a strong program, we really need parent volunteers to sign up to co-lead on a rotational basis.
The kickoff is scheduled for Sunday, September 19, at which time we'll meet all together, including parents and children, for an ICE CREAM PARTY in C52 (the Fireside Room). During this first important gathering we will also register children, talk with parents about the new format, sign up volunteers, and distribute a schedule of planned meeting dates and activities. St. Stephen's United Methodist Church Youth Fellowship meets every Sunday night, 5:30 PM to 7:30 PM. 7th to 12th graders (Middle and High school in Fairfax County) can kick back and relax, while learning more about their faith. Dinner will be provided each week, as well as lots of fun games, such as: Guitar Hero, Mario Cart, air hockey, and billiards, and snacks. We hope to see you soon!
