Kids Dive into the Deep Blue!

Deep Blue Promo FINAL PSD

New Sunday School Plan for Fall

This Fall, our children will be begin a lifelong adventure in faith as they experience the Bible through all their senses with a new curriculum called Deep Blue.

Wobblers, toddlers, preschoolers, and Kindergartners will continue to follow their current format in their classroom. They will learn the Bible through movement, songs, art activities, and developmentally appropriate “hands on” learning centers. New this year, younger kids will meet “Indigo” a cute and cuddly, puppy puppet who will help introduce Biblical stories in a fun and engaging way.

New this year, 1st – 4th Graders will gather in a large group setting in the Fireside Room each week for the Bible story, music, and movement. Teaching will be done through drama and video and will highly interactive. Then, kids will break into age-level small groups to dig deeper and apply the story to their daily lives. Consistent small group leaders will shepherd the same 5 to 8 children each week — encouraging them and supporting their faith.

5th – 6th Graders will dive into Submerge, a one-year Bible survey that prepares them to make the transition to youth group. Submerge emphasizes nurturing faithful relationships while engaging students in fun and creative activities. Also, this tweens group will begin to take on leadership roles as they help prepare and lead the “early arriver” activities and games for the younger kids prior to Sunday School each week.

The children’s ministry team is really excited about the new year and hope parents and kids will be too! We’ll be taking Sunday, September 6 off to get ready for the new year and then Rally Day is Sunday, September 13. Parents are encouraged to come a little early to register their kids for the new year! For questions or more information, check out, or feel free to speak with Shannon Czzowitz, the chair of the Children’s Ministry Council.

To register your child, download the Children’s Sunday School Registration form or visit the Check-in Cart early on your first Sunday.
