Is This All? New Horizons in Faith
Do you know how many times you’ve been to church in your lifetime? If you do, that probably means you’re pretty new to the Christian faith. Maybe you started attending church because you asked the question “Is this all? There has to be more to life than this.” I hope and pray that, as you’ve begun to connect with Christ through the church, you have begun to find the extraordinary “more” that Christ offers.
Here’s the thing, though. If you’re someone who cannot count the number of times you’ve been to church, which could mean you’ve attended church hundreds of times, you may also be asking: “Is this all?” We come to church week after week. We’ve experienced the grace of God. We’re involved in Sunday school. Maybe we sing in a choir. We do our part to help our neighbors in need. We attend fellowship events. Maybe we’re even on a committee or two. We’ve done these things year in and year out, and we’re now wondering “Is this all?” We’re not looking for more activities or more things to do with our time. We’re wondering if this is all there is to the Christian life. We’ve experienced grace. We pray. We study. We serve. Is this basically it?
From April 17th through May 15th, we’ll share a sermon series called “Is This All? New Horizons in Faith.” Buried in our own Wesleyan faith tradition is a very significant answer to this question. We’ll explore this lost treasure together. Bring a friend and join us for worship in April and May!
