Where Following the Risen Christ Leads Us

Sermon Series for April:Where Following the Risen Christ Leads Us

This month, we have two very special sermons coming to St. Stephen’s as we honor the ministry of two United Methodist pastors who have served among us. Chaplain Michael Gore and Rev. Tom Hazelwood are both ordained United Methodist elders who have considered St. Stephen’s to be their church while they are serving in other ministries. Chaplain Gore serves with the Office of Chaplains in the Pentagon. Rev. Hazelwood serves as the associate director of the United Methodist Committee on Relief, with responsibility for overseeing relief efforts within the United States. We rejoice in their presence with us, and want to send them with our blessings to their new appointments for service. As a way to bid them farewell, we have invited each of them to preach one last time here at St. Stephen’s before they leave. Chaplain Gore will preach on April 14, and Rev. Hazelwood on April 28, at all three Sunday services. The title for our April series is “Where Following the Risen Christ Leads Us.”
