2019 Summer Children’s Camps
“M & M” Mini VBS—is specifically geared for students that are age 4 (by June 1, 2019) through rising first graders. Our mini-VBS will talk about the story of baby Moses and his sister Miriam and the story of Moses and the Miracle crossing the Red Sea. These “M”s (Moses, Miriam and Miracle) will help young children to know that God has a plan for them as He had one for Moses and we can put our trust in God when we are afraid. The Mini-VBS includes music, crafts, activities and science.
Monday, June 17-Tuesday, June 18; 9:30AM-12 Noon; cost $5/child.
“ROAR” VBS invites kids, ages 5 years (by June 1, 2019) – rising 6th graders, on an epic African adventure that will help kids explore God’s goodness and celebrate a ferocious faith that powers them through this wild life. Our VBS uses relevant music, exciting science, creative crafts, fun recreation, and memorable Bible stories to help kids discover that God is always with them.
Monday, July 8—Friday, July 12; 1—4 pm; cost $15/child.
Music Theater Camp is a week-long musical theatre camp for children and youth (rising 3rd – 8th grades) where they will learn, practice, and perform scenes from Mary Poppins. Mary Poppins enters the lives of the Banks family turning their home upside down and right side up, giving a lost family a second chance at life and love. Participants perform Sunday morning during worship after participating in camp throughout the week.
Monday to Friday, July 22– 26, 10:30 am—4:00 pm, AND campers MUST be available on Sunday, July 28, 8am—Noon during morning worship services; cost $50/child
“FUNdamentals” Sports Camp – Throughout the week kids will learn about building friendships and learning FUNdamental skills they’ll use for life in tennis, flag-football, soccer, basketball, volleyball, and so much more!”
Monday, July 29—Friday, August 2; Morning and afternoon sessions (see below)
Morning Session: for children ages 5 (by June 1, 2019) – rising 6th graders; 9:00AM-12 Noon; cost $50/child
Afternoon Session: for children rising 2nd – rising 6th graders; 1:00PM—4:00PM; cost $50/child
SPECIAL FIELD TRIP OPTION: On Friday, August 2 from 4:00pm-7:00pm those students and their parents that are interested will attend a World Team Tennis match with the Washington Kastles. The cost is $20.00 per person which will include ticket, transportation and dinner. Those students between the ages of 5-7 must be accompanied by a parent. Older students are encouraged to bring a parent but not required.
PARTIAL SCHOLARSHIPS are available on a case-by-case basis for all camps. Requests for scholarship assistance are made through the registration process online and are sent directly to Pastor Jiyeon Kim.
