2018 Summer Children’s Camps
ArchKIDtecture Camp. Our summer ArchKIDtecture Camp designed for rising 4th through rising 7th graders gives curious kids an opportunity to dive into a focused architecture topic of interest and test out their own design ideas. This 4-day camp will explore the theme “God on the Go” and portable architecture through art and building activities, design challenges, and several special site visits to an architect’s office, a museum in Washington, DC, and so much more!
Monday, July 2—Friday, July 6 (No Camp on Wednesday, July 4 Holiday), 10:30 am—4:00 pm, cost $100 / child (includes fees for all materials needed). Early arriver option, 9:00—10:30 am; additional cost $20 / child. Camp size limited to 16 participants.
Rolling River Rampage VBS invites kids, ages 4 years – 6th grade, on a white water rafting adventure to experience the ride of a lifetime with God! Along the river, children discover that life with God is an adventure full of wonder and surprise, and they can trust God to be with them through anything Our VBS uses relevant music, exciting science, creative crafts, fun recreation, and memorable Bible stories to help kids discover that God is always with them as they ride the rapids of amazing grace!
Monday, July 9—Friday, July 13; 1—4 pm; cost $15/child.
NEW Sports Camp is for children, rising 2nd through rising 6th grade as they discover that the best part of being on a sports team is sharing experiences together. Success comes from cooperation and respect, even when someone makes a mistake. These same qualities that help athletes win are also valuable in everyday life. Even Jesus chose a team to show us what team spirit is all about. Throughout the week kids will learn and gain skills in tennis, flag-football, soccer, baseball, volleyball, and so much more!
Monday, July 16—Friday, July 20, 10:30 am—4:00 pm, cost $100 / child. Early arriver option, 9:00—10:30 am; additional cost $25 / child. Camp size limited to 48 participants.
Mission Possible Kids Summer Plunge is designed for rising 4th through 7th graders who want to learn first hand that they can make a difference in their community and the world! This day camp is filled with lots of off-site, hands-on service projects with the elderly, homeless, hungry, children, and so much more! Take the Mission Possible Kids plunge this summer!
Monday, July 23—Friday, July 27; 10:30 am—4 pm; cost $100/child. Early arriver option, 9:00 – 10:30am; additional cost $25/child. Camp size limited to 24 participants.
* Because the social service agencies we partner with are depending on us to meet our volunteer commitments throughout the week, we ask that if your child can not participate in the entire camp experience that they refrain from registering for this camp.
“Believe It’s Possible” Theatre & Arts Camp is a week-long musical theatre camp for children and youth (rising 3rd – 8th grades) where they will learn, practice, and perform scenes from several well-known Broadway musicals. This year, we’re exploring the power of thinking BIGGER and believing something is possible before it actually happens as we dive into the beloved music from Peter Pan and Cinderella as well as the biblical themes that are woven into these classic children’s tales. Participants perform Sunday morning during worship after participating in camp throughout the week.
Monday to Friday, July 30 —August 3, 10:30 am—4:00 pm, AND campers MUST be available on Sunday, August 5, 8—Noon during morning worship services; cost $50/child. Camp size limited to 25 participants.
PARTIAL SCHOLARSHIPS are available on a case-by-case basis for all camps. Requests for scholarship assistance are made through the registration process online and are sent directly to Pastor Jiyeon Kim.
