Fourth Sunday in Lent
Litany based on Luke 11:1-2, John 15:7, I John 3:21-22, 5:14-15
Leader: Jesus taught his disciples to pray: “Thy Kingdom come, thy will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.”
All Sing: Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness,
Leader: Jesus said: “If you abide in me, and my words abide in you, ask for whatever you wish and it will be done for you.”
All Sing: and all these things shall be added unto you. Allelu, alleluia!
Leader: Beloved, if our hearts do not condemn us, we have boldness before God; and we receive from God whatever we ask, because we obey God’s commandments and do what pleases God.
All Sing: Ask, and it shall be given unto you; seek and ye shall find;
Leader: And this is the boldness we have in God, that we ask anything according to God’s will, God hears us. And if we know that God hears us in whatever we ask, we know that we have obtained the requests made of God.
All Sing: knock, and the door shall be opened unto you. Allelu, alleluia!
Leader: The Word of God for the people of God.
All: Thanks be to God.
