Since Mid- March 2020, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the St. Stephen’s United Methodist Church campus in Burke, Va., has been closed though the church continues to hold online worship services and meetings. A new online worship service is posted each Sunday beginning at 8:30 a.m. and can be found at https://vimeo.com/ststephensfairfax. Below is the church’s typical schedule prior to the onset of social distancing.
St. Stephen’s United Methodist Church has three different worship services each Sunday morning.
- 8:30 am: Traditional Worship features a variety of Musical Ensembles and Handbells
- 9:45 am: Contemporary Worship features The Source Band
- 11:00 am: Classic Worship features the Chancel Choir, Orchestra, & Children’s Choirs

How do I become a member of St. Stephen’s?
Perspective members are invited to “Starting Point” lunches, held every 6 to 8 weeks, immediately following the 11 a.m. worship service. Children are always welcomed at St. Stephen’s United Methodist Church. In worship, they are specifically included as much as possible. Childcare is available at all services, but children are welcome during every service. For more information visit our Frequently Asked Question page.
Also, St. Stephen’s has other excellent preschool, children and youth ministries. The children’s ministry offers children’s classes at 9:45 am. Junior High and High School students meet for Sunday School at 9:45.
Who are the pastors and how can I meet them?
Our Senior Pastor is the Rev. Rob Robertson (‘Pastor Rob’). Our Associate Pastors are Rev. Jiyeon Kim (‘Pastor Jiyeon’) who serves as the Associate Pastor for Children and Connecting with New People; and Rev. When is Holy Communion served and who can participate?
