Thank you to all who supported our 2020 School Supply Drive!  We hope you will take part in our 2021 drive next August!

Help Area Students Go Back to School

For  years, St. Stephen’s has hosted a school supply drive to support children in need in our community. The church has collected items in the Welcome Center of the church building and from families taking part in the annual St. Stephen’s Vacation Bible School.  The donated supplies were then  distributed to students via several ministries and partner organizations.

As the St. Stephen’s building remains closed as a result of the COVID-19 situation, the project’s organizers have shifted this year’s collection to the online Amazon Wish Lists, which allows you to easily and conveniently ‘shop’ from home and have the items shipped directly to the recipient organizations.

This year’s school supply drive will support FACETS in Fairfax and the   Browne Education Campus in Washington, D.C.

The organizations have created their own wish lists (the links to those lists are below.) The wish lists include the ‘typical’ items returning students need including notebooks, markers, crayons, pens, binders and backpacks.

Please note: when you purchase  school items for this drive using the Amazon link, please be sure that the addressee for the items is either FACETS or Browne Educational. For each link the addresses should auto populate unless the user chooses to make  the delivery address the same address as the billing address. If you inadvertently do this, the supplies will be sent to you, not the intended beneficiaries. Thanks so much!

Thank you in advance for your generous support.

FACETS, headquartered in the City of Fairfax, serves individuals and families who are homeless, low income, unstably housed, and at-risk of homelessness in Fairfax County. These individuals face significant challenges and have fewer ways to protect themselves from the pandemic. St. Stephen’s partners with FACETS every winter to support FACETS’ hypothermia shelter program.
