1st Fridays/Green Groceries
First Friday/Green Groceries is a vital ministry through which we distribute free, fresh produce from the Capital Area Food Bank to our neighbors in need. It is held on the first Friday of each month as a drive-thru event in the parking lot at St. Stephen’s. The drive-thru begins at 5 p.m. and lasts until 6 p.m. or sooner if we no longer have food available. All are welcome and no pre-registration is required. Grace Ministries
If you know of an individual or family in need, please spread the word about this free food, diaper and clothing distribution event open to all. Currently Grace Ministries is a contactless drive-thru event that usually starts about 7 a.m. Below you will find information on volunteering with Grace Ministries and how to donate clothing to Grace Ministries. Thank you to all the volunteers and supporters who make this event such a success.
Grace Ministries is accepting donations of good quality fall and winter clothing, including lightly-used or new coats for adults and children. Due to limited storage, please do not donate summer or spring items at this time. Thank you for being a part of Grace Ministries with your gifts, your time, and your prayers!
Please only donate items that you would wear or feel comfortable giving to a family member or friend. Items that are stained, torn, moldy or mildewed are not good candidates. Ideally, please wash or dry clean any items before donating. Thank you for helping our donations reflect the goodness of our church and the best for our guests!
You can drop off your clothing donations during church office hours. Please ring our doorbell and make sure someone accepts your donation. If you have any questions about donating, please feel free to contact the church office first at 703-978-8724. We respectfully ask that you do not leave boxes or bags of clothes outside the church building. Thank you!

Schedule:
Grace Ministries at St. Stephen’s United Methodist Church is currently being offered in a drive-thru format on the fourth Saturday of each month in the parking lot of the church located at 9203 Braddock Road, Burke, Va., 22015.
The exception to this schedule is in November and December the distribution will be held on the THIRD Saturday of those months.
