Our classrooms, halls, kitchens and grounds in Burke are open to the community. Whether you're planning a graduation party, a quinceañera, a family reunion or a regular group meeting, we have a room that fits.

Our spaces and rates

Rates are contributions per hour, with a 2-hour minimum for every space. Add a room for child care (a child care provider is required) for $25 per hour.

Single Classroom

A simple, comfortable room for small meetings, tutoring, classes and club gatherings.

No alcohol on church property

Under United Methodist Church policy, alcohol is not permitted anywhere on our premises, including during private events.

Before you book

Contributions are paid in advance.
A $100 cleaning deposit is also required. It is refundable if there are no cleaning issues.
Using the sound or video system requires a church AV technician.
Need a room for child care during your event? Add $25 per hour. Child care providers will incur additional fees.

Members and church groups

Contributions are waived for church-supported activities, such as Scouting America, Girl Scouts and church youth groups.
Church members using our facilities for private functions are asked to contribute 50% of the rates above.
The rates above apply to non-members hosting private functions.

Example: a 4-hour graduation party in the Fellowship Hall is 4 × $150 = $600, plus the $100 refundable cleaning deposit.

First Fridays/Green Groceries

First Friday/Green Groceries provides free, fresh produce from the Capital Area Food Bank to our neighbors in need. It is held on the first Friday of each month as a drive-thru event in the parking lot at St. Stephen’s. The drive-thru begins at 5 p.m. and lasts until 6 p.m. or sooner if we no longer have food available. All are welcome and no pre-registration is required.

Our next distribution dates are August 7, September 11, October 2, November 6, and December 4, 2026. If you would like to volunteer for this life-giving ministry, please use the button below.

Grace Ministries

If you know of an individual or family in need, please spread the word about this free food, diaper and clothing distribution event open to all. Grace Ministries typically starts at 7 a.m. Our next Grace Ministries distributions are Saturday, August 22, September 26, October 24, November 21, and December 19, 2026. In November, we will have Thanksgiving meal supplies. In December, we will have presents for children.

Grace Ministries is accepting donations of good quality winter items at this time. Please only donate items that you would wear or feel comfortable giving to a family member or friend. Items that are stained, torn, moldy or mildewed are not good candidates. Ideally, please wash or dry clean any items before donating.

You can drop off clothing donations during church office hours. Please ring our doorbell and make sure someone accepts your donation. If you have any questions about donating, please contact the church office first at 703-978-8724. We respectfully ask that you do not leave boxes or bags of clothes outside the church building.
