Rev. Sunu Kwon has served as Associate Pastor of St. Stephen’s United Methodist Church since July 2026. An ordained elder of the Korean Methodist Church, he brings more than a decade of pastoral experience in Korea and the United States, with a focus on Christian education, next-generation ministry, and worship.
Pastor Sunu’s ministry centers on helping people of every generation experience the depth of God’s grace in worship and community, and embrace one another as members of God’s family.
In Korea, he served at Heaven Central Church and several other congregations, leading ministries for children, youth, and young adults and equipping teachers and lay leaders. In the United States, he served at Arlington Korean United Methodist Church, gaining experience in immigrant church life and multicultural ministry.
Pastor Sunu grew up in South Korea and earned his Bachelor of Theology and Master of Theology degrees from Mokwon University. He completed his Master of Divinity at Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C.
Pastor Sunu lives with his wife, Eunkyung Park.
