Maundy Thursday, April 1, Online Service
St. Stephen’s held its Maundy Thursday service live, online on YouTube, Thursday evening. You can watch a replay of the service above. An in-person drive thru Holy Communion was held after the service in the church parking lot. Thanks to everyone who took part.

Easter Sunday Holy Communion
Easter In-Person Holy Communion at St. Stephen’s, Burke, Va.
There will be two opportunities to take part in an in-person Holy Communion on Easter Sunday at St. Stephen’s. The first will be during our outdoor Easter Sunrise service at 6:45 a.m. The second will be a drive-thru event in the church parking lot taking place immediately following our 11 a.m. Easter Online Livestream service. Please wear masks to both events. Thank you!
Easter Sunrise Service
Easter In-Person Sunrise Service, Sunday, April 4, 6:45 A.M.
St. Stephen’s will be holding an in-person outdoor Easter Sunrise Service with Holy Communion at 6:45 a.m., Sunday, April 4, in the church parking lot. All are welcome, masks required. In the event of bad weather, the sunrise service will be changed from an outdoor/in-person event to virtual service on Zoom. Please stay tuned to our website and Facebook page Saturday evening April 3 where any possible changes would be announced. Thank you!
Please be sure to bring chairs to sit in at the sunrise service. Thank you!
There is no need to fill out an online Health Acknowledgement Form for this event. An entryway health acknowledgment and screening area will be provided. Please be sure to wear your masks. Thank you.
Online Easter Sunday Service Livestream, 11 a.m., April 4
St. Stephen’s will also be offering a livestream Easter service on YouTube, at 11 a.m. with a chat feature allowing you to interact with other worshippers. The livestream replay will be available for viewing at your convenience on YouTube, without chat replay, by 2 p.m., Sunday. An archive of the service will also be available on Vimeo in the late evening, Monday.

2021 St. Stephen’s Easter Offering will be directed to United Methodist Family Services
For 120 years, United Methodist Family Services has been a blessing to high-risk children and families throughout Virginia. The UMFS supports children in foster care and children struggling with mental health and behavioral challenges. With your support, high-risk children and families will receive the assistance they need to achieve a brighter future.
People can donate to this year’s Easter Offering by using the Easter Offering envelope in their pack of envelopes or designating Easter on the second line of their weekly envelope (by mail) . You can also donate electronically online by clicking here. When you reach the Online Donate Box, you will find a donate line named “Easter Special Offering,” where you can easily enter the amount you want to give. Every Sunday at 11 a.m. St. Stephen’s Church livestreams an online service with a running chat room on our YouTube page, which is available for replay anytime you like beginning at 2 p.m. the same day.
Our pastors’ messages are also available in the form of podcasts on most popular platforms including Apple Podcasts and Amazon Music. You can even ask Alexa or Siri to play “St. Stephen’s United Methodist Fairfax podcasts,” and you can listen to our pastors’ uplifting messages on your phone, tablet or home media device.

During the pandemic, most of our events are primarily offered online, though we do hold outdoor in-person events including our Easter Sunrise Service and Holy Communion, Sunday morning, April 4, and a drive-thru communion later the same day in our parking lot beginning at noon. We also hold drive-thru Holy Communion at noon on the first Sunday of each month.
St. Stephen’s is a community-minded church. Each month we hold two food distribution events for those in need and we also offer a wide array of volunteer opportunities and service project. Learn more on our Get Involved page!
